Tuesday and Thursday club nights are extremely well supported and offer something for everyone.

SUBSCRIPTIONS RATES UNCHANGED

Now is the time to join ETC. Membership is now available. You can join from as little as £55-00 for the year (until 31 March 2013) for an adult (also paying the £5 joining fee) or £17 for a junior under 18. Students and seniors only pay £34-00.

Elsenham Tennis Club is in the village of Elsenham in Essex not far from Stansted Airport and close to the Hertfordshire border.

LADIES DOUBLES TOURNAMENT

This is suitable for all standards of players from the social to the more experienced team players. The tournament is split into 2 main sections, the Open and the Daytime so matches can be arranged when convenient, ie in the evenings and weekends for those working or during the daytime perhaps for ladies that have children at school or just those who would like their weekends free. ETC QUIZ

SATURDAY, 21 APRIL, 7.30 FOR 8PM AT THE BOWLS CLUB

Back by popular demand, we are holding another fundraising quiz. Usual format with Trevor asking the questions, the dream team behind the Bowls Club bar dealing with drink requests efficiently, the ladies (and some gentlemen) from ETC working hard in the kitchen supplying food and everyone hopefully having a good time. OPEN AFTERNOONS AT ETC

SUNDAY, 15 APRIL AND SUNDAY 22 APRIL, 2 – 5PM

Rather than having one Open Day, we decided to have two fun playing afternoons where anyone (adults or juniors) can come along to get to know some of us from ETC. We are a very friendly, family orientated club and would like to give everyone in Elsenham (and surrounding villages) the opportunity to play. All standards are welcome – so why not invite some of your family and friends? We have been reliably informed that tea/coffees and cakes will be available on the day(s) which will certainly entice some of our members.

SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE DUE 1 APRIL – BALLOT FOR WIMBLEDON TICKETS

Please note that subscriptions for 2012/13 are due on 1 April. The committee has decided to keep the fees unchanged. We have been lucky enough to receive an allocation of 5 pairs of Wimbledon tickets again this year so if you want to enter the ballot, you need to get your subscription / payment to our treasurer by 20 April and be a member of “British Tennis”.

The subsidy of £5 to join the Bowls Club as associate members has been removed. If our members want to join, the Bowls Club membership is attached in addition to our own membership form. Please note that Tennis Club members who are already have "Tennis Club" membership of the Bowls club will not have to pay a joining fee, as long as they continue their membership this year.

THURSDAY CLUB NIGHTS

We are keen to promote our Thursday night club evenings to all our players. You don’t have to be in the team to qualify. It’s a great opportunity to get more games in now the evenings are getting longer and hopefully the weather kinder.
